We once again invited our friends and partners to a business breakfast at Chapurin Bar in Moscow to discuss a topic of pressing concern, Working for Clients. Architects, designers, developers, and representatives of the business community shared their experiences of managing their businesses and overcoming difficulties during the crisis. In December 2009 Martela held a presentation to mark the opening of its first showroom in Russia. Martela is the leading manufacturer of office furniture in Finland. “In Russia our products have been known for 15 years, but mainly through a distribution network,” said Heikki Martela, President of Martela Group. “Our main strategy today is to start operating independently and at full scale, to make Russia one of our principal sales markets, and to build long-term relations with corporate clients and architects.” Heikki Martela emphasized that his company does supplies interior solutions as well as furniture and designs offices.
